UCI ACADEMICS COUNCIL
I. INTRODUCTION
Academics Council aims to pursue a joint academic environment between member universities through promotion of such programs: joint-training programs, curriculum recognition, internship programs, etc. For the period of 2019 - 2021, Pukyong National University (Korea) is in charge of Academics Council.
II. ACTIVITIES
UCI Academics Council shall plan collaboration in training with the following programs:
a) Collaboration programs developed among Member Institutions based on their strengths:
- Joint-training programs with dual degrees (or more than 2 degrees);
- Doing mapping for curriculum recognition so that learners of Member Institutions can transfer to any campuses of universities in the consortium;
- Setting up pathway programs; requirement of internship programs or trans-campus for at least 1 semester;
- Developing doctoral sandwich programs in which students spend the 1st half of their study time at their home institutions and the 2nd half at campuses of other Member Institutions.
c) Promotion of annual scholarship policies to students of Member Institutions;
d) Giving supports in establishing culture centers/ programs in language training (Korean, Vietnamese, Italian, Czech, Belgian, etc.) at campuses of Member Institutions upon request;
e) Organizing workshop on new teaching methodologies;
f) Organizing International courses; leadership courses, CEO courses...
g) Sharing of teaching resources; facilitating staff exchange, visiting scholars, adjunct professors among Member Institutions…
